Sabalenka is Belarusian born in Minsk. Sergey (d.2019) played ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born on 5 May 1998 in Minsk Belarus. Aryna is the holder of twelve WTA Singles titles. One that was awarded the title Grand Slam at the Australian Open 2023. When it comes to doubles, she's also an outstanding player. She has won two Majors with Elise Mertens, her US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. Then she also won an incredible Sunshine Double in 2019, by winning the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open along with Elise and Mertens. This feat was only achieved by four couples from women's doubles to achieve. She rose from second to third on the World Singles Rankings on 23 August 2021. Her highest rank was achieved again in the month of January in 2023. When she played doubles, she managed to push herself to the top of the list at the beginning of February that year following her victory in Melbourne being the first tennis player born in Belarus to make it in this particular area. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) coached her for part of the 2019 season and from 2018 to the end. Dieter Kindlmann was her trainer from August until September 2020. As of the year 2020's end, she's been trained by her coach, Antonio Dubrov. Her top idols include Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
